Patterns of Meaning recently welcomed students from Arise Classical Academy to our workshop and exhibit hall as part of the fall kickoff of our K–12 Introduction to Industry Through the Arts, part of the IACMI Metal for America Program.
Inspiring the Next Generation

This visit followed a classroom session earlier in the month that introduced students to the foundations of industrial processes and materials through the arts. During the field trip, students engaged with large-scale artworks created from salvaged foundry patterns, learning how these pieces merge industrial history with contemporary artistic expression.
The hands-on activities provided students with a deeper understanding of the creative and technical processes behind the artwork, while encouraging them to make connections between art, history, and innovation.
Thank you to Arise Classical Academy for their enthusiasm and engagement.
