Arise Classical Academy Students Visit Patterns of Meaning

Patterns of Meaning recently welcomed students from Arise Classical Academy to our workshop and exhibit hall as part of the fall kickoff of The Patterns Initiative, an experiential learning program developed in collaboration with the IACMI Metal for America Initiative, a national effort to forge the future of American manufacturing by inspiring the next generation of makers, innovators, and problem solvers.

Igniting Young Minds Through Immersive Learning

This visit followed a classroom session earlier in the month that introduced students to the foundations of industrial processes and materials through the arts. During the field trip, students engaged with large-scale artworks created from salvaged foundry patterns, learning how these pieces merge industrial history with contemporary artistic expression.

The hands-on activities provided students with a deeper understanding of the creative and technical processes behind the artwork, while encouraging them to make connections between art, history, and innovation.

Forging a Brighter Future Together

Programs like this are possible thanks to our partners who share our commitment to rebuilding a modern, technologically adept workforce. Together, we are helping students see American industry not as a relic of the past, but as a source of opportunity and boundless potential.

We extend our gratitude to Arise Classical Academy for their enthusiasm and participation in this METAL for America learning experience.
