A Celebration of Pittsburgh's Legacy and Future
Join us at ZYNKA Gallery on November 2, 2024, for the opening of Cory Bonnet: WORK(s), a new series of work on paper by Patterns Founder Cory Bonnet.
About the Series: WORK(s)
WORK(s) shares Bonnet's creative reflection on Pittsburgh's rich industrial history, its role in shaping the nation, and its potential to solve future challenges. The exhibition aligns with the America 250 and America 250PA initiatives, commemorating the nation's upcoming 250th anniversary by highlighting significant contributions and moments in U.S. history.
Bonnet's Artistic Approach
Known for his contemporary nostalgic paintings of industrial Pittsburgh, Bonnet has long captured the essence of the region with an artistic vision rooted in preservation. His work often incorporates salvaged and reclaimed materials, breathing new life into discarded remnants of the past. With WORK(s), Bonnet returns to his foundation in drawing, creating compositions with India ink and pigments on raw butcher paper.
