Capitalizing on Historic Climate Investments Conference

Thank you to The Heinz Endowments and The Burnside Group for hosting the CHCI Conference at the EIC Pittsburgh and their networking event in the Patterns of Meaning Workshop/Exhibit Hall.

Heinz Endowments CHCI Conference

Patterns’ founder Cory Bonnet spoke to the group about the importance of understanding history when facing contemporary challenges.

The foundational infrastructure our world rests on was built with a fraction of the technology we have today. They did so much with so little. Powered by human ingenuity and spirit, they built everything from nothing.

Technology, no matter how advanced, is only a tool. We control it, it does not control us. Seeing what was possible in the past should serve as a reminder and source of inspiration for what we can accomplish today.

As we think about the future, Patterns of Meaning aims to reflect on the past strengths of our industrial heritage as we strive to create a more sustainable world.  Patterns of Meaning serves as a reminder of our collective achievements and a vision for a future where innovation and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.
