Partner with the Patterns Initiative: K-12 Introduction to Industry Through Art
The Patterns Initiative connects art, industry, and education to inspire the next generation of workers. By combining artists’ creativity with our industrial roots, we help students, communities, and industry see themselves as part of modern manufacturing.
You can partner with Patterns of Meaning in two main ways: by connecting us with your community or by supporting us through art.
Partner in Your Community or Region
If you want to partner in your community, reach out to let us know you’re interested. We’ll work with you to find local sites like schools, libraries, or museums and create a plan to bring Patterns of Meaning programs to your area.
In classrooms, our arts-integrated curriculum provides students with the opportunity to explore history, innovation, and creativity simultaneously. For teachers and administrators, it’s an opportunity to spark curiosity about the industries that have shaped our communities.
Museums and public venues can host exhibitions and workshops that give students and families hands-on experiences. Partners who want to bring Patterns of Meaning to their region can introduce us to these spaces to connect people to art and industrial heritage.
Support Through Art
Partners such as manufacturers, businesses, and foundations help fund exhibitions, educational programs, and outreach, making the Patterns Initiative available to more communities. We work with partner collectors and as a thank you offer select original art from the Patterns Collection. Our gift shop also offers prints, allowing anyone to take home part of the story while supporting the initiative
Supporting Patterns through art strengthens both educational and community connections. It means that the legacy of industry is not only preserved but also carried forward for future generations.

Why Your Partnership Matters
Patterns of Meaning grows thanks to people who believe in its mix of creativity, heritage, and innovation. Partnerships, whether local or through art, are more than transactions. They are investments in students, heritage, and inspiring the next generation.
