J&L It's a Blast! Now on View at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art

One of the largest paintings in the Patterns of Meaning collection is now on view at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, PA.

Cory Bonnet's oil on pigment painting J&L, It's a Blast!  measures 105 by 84 inches and depicts the Jones & Laughlin Steel mill at full blast.

Steel Valley Visions

Steel Valley Visions, an exhibition of historical and contemporary works documenting the rise and fall of the steel industry in western Pennsylvania, also runs through November 8, 2026. Admission is free and no reservation required.

Alongside this exhibition, the museum developed an immersive experience created by OLO Creative Farm, using multi-projection, surround sound, and animated effects.

Both are part of a broader cultural moment around America 250, the country's upcoming 250th anniversary, which has museums across the country revisiting the stories that shaped American identity. The industrial heritage of western Pennsylvania is central to that story, and The Westmoreland is making a strong case for it this year.
