Patterns of Meaning Hosts ICMA City Managers for Creative Economy Discussion

Patterns of Meaning recently hosted the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) at our Patterns Workshop and Exhibit Hall.

This event brought together over 30 city managers from across the US to discuss the role of artists in revitalizing vacant real estate and former industrial sites—a topic that aligns closely with Patterns.

Patterns of Meaning's Unique Approach

At Patterns of Meaning, we are developing a replicable approach to using art to preserve history and contribute to economic development centered on adaptive reuse and public engagement.  We hope to share our knowledge with other artists, preservationists, and communities.

Thanks to Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation and everyone who's supported this project. We look forward to working with these cities and towns to build something great.
